Gary Hill
Owner and Director
With over 30 years in the construction business, in his career Gary has undertaken many different building projects. His primary business; North Yorkshire Home Improvements specialises in project management, building work, extensions, kitchen and bathroom design/fit-out.
Within his business he continues to come across customers who struggle to get professional trades people to carry work for them, and he has put right many ‘bodge jobs’ from other trades people. This experience gave him the idea of Quick Fix and he is committed to provide quality and service no matter how small the job is!
How we choose our Trade partners
At Quick Fix we guarantee all of our trade partners will have passed our 6-point check as below;
- Hold a minimum of £2million Public Liability Insurance
- DBS Cleared
- Fully registered with relevant industrial bodies
- At least 3 current references checked by Quick fix within the last 3 months
- Adhere to Our Customer Pledge and our code of conduct
- We will continue to monitor customer feedback and reviews on Trust pilot to ensure high standards and quality
Our satisfaction guarantee
If you are not 100% satisfied with the workman ship received from our trade partners Quick Fix will come and put it right for you. Issues must be raised within 2 weeks of job completion and with our customer services team.
We will arrange a suitable time to come over and inspect the issues and then arrange further work to be carried out. Please see our terms and conditions.
Our customer pledge
Our customers are our main priority so we pledge:
- To turn up on time
- To be courteous and professional
- To be as accurate as possible with pricing*
- To work hard and complete the job* in a timely manner
- To leave the working space clean and tidy
- To give you all relevant documentation and certificates if required
- We will always wear a Quick Fix ID badge
- Ensure all relevant documentation and certificates are provided at the end of the job, if applicable.
- The customer will never be asked for payment on the job, all monies exchanged via Quick Fix
- If the customer isn’t 100% satisfied with our service we will come and put it right for you

We insist that our trade partners must belong to associated accreditation boards before they can work with us, and we check subscription is up to date throughout the year.

GAS SAFE - Health and Safety Executive accreditation of gas installers
OFTEC - Oil Firing Technical Association

FENSA - Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme

Fair Pricing Strategy
We would like to assure our customers that we bench mark our prices within North Yorkshire, ensuring fair and standardised pricing, and this is constantly revised to enable our customer service advisors to accurately quote for the job.
Our pricing is reflective on our quick service, quality and guarantees.
Our quotes will rely heavily on the information provided by the customer and on some instances when our trade partners come to complete the work, there may be a cost increase whether for labour or material. However, this will be clearly explained to the customer prior to work proceeding.
